Meet Our Operations Team at Lavish Hair Lounge

As an 11 year stylist Desirre’s experience comes from all areas of the industry. She has spent her time traveling internationally to work with celebrity stylists, teach those new to the industry & work on editorial sets. Her work has graced the cover of Modern Salon and has been seen in People Magazine after styling hair for personal friends, JD Scott & Annalee Belle.

While Desirre is grateful for the opportunities that have come her way, her favorite way to spend her time in the industry is intimately behind the chair & with her staff in class. Her goal with each person she meets is to not only provide good hair, but bring value to your life.

It is no shock that Desirre’s preferred clientele are those who are open-minded. She loves to share feedback on what she feels is suitable for your lifestyle while also encouraging you to go beyond your comfort zone. Her skill set in the salon is strictly dedicated to coloring & cutting but has no limits on the colors or shapes you enjoy.

When Desirre is not enjoying her Craft she is spending time with her husband & two young children. They enjoy traveling, snuggling their three dogs, a sunny day on a patio with a craft beer or any other outdoor activities. The simple life.

MJ graduated from the Aveda Institute of New Mexico in 2020 and has always had a passion for the beauty industry. While she’s always loved playing with hair, it was the opportunity to make people feel confident, beautiful, and genuinely cared for that inspired her to turn her passion into a career.

MJ spent four years behind the chair at Lavish, where she not only grew as a stylist but discovered a passion for the many moving parts that create an exceptional salon experience. Early in her time at Lavish, she began feeling called to support the salon and her team in ways that extended beyond the chair. She took on roles as Lavish’s Retail Coordinator and Social Media Manager, and along the way discovered how much she loved the business, creative, and people-focused sides of the industry.

Her love for education has also remained a constant. MJ has taught classes of her own and loves sharing knowledge, encouraging fellow creatives, and helping others grow in their careers.

Today, as Lavish’s Salon Coordinator, MJ is dedicated to creating a seamless, elevated experience for both guests and the team. From the moment you walk through our doors, she wants you to feel welcomed, cared for, and confident that you’re in good hands. She works closely with the team behind the scenes to help ensure that every detail of the guest experience feels intentional, while still preserving the warmth and personal connection that make Lavish feel like more than just a salon.

MJ believes luxury is in the details, but also in how you’re made to feel. Whether you have a question about your appointment, need help finding the right products, have feedback you’d like to share, or simply need someone to listen, she’s here for you. She believes that sometimes the most important thing you can do is make someone feel heard, and she’s always happy to be that person.

Mari is the friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors and the voice you’ll hear when you call! She helps with scheduling, checkouts, questions, concerns, and keeping communication between guests and stylists running smoothly. If you need something during your visit, Mari’s your girl!

Behind the scenes, Mari helps keep the salon running smoothly while working toward her goal of becoming a stylist herself.

When she’s not at the salon, Mari is busy being a mom to her two little ones. She’s newer to Albuquerque but has quickly made a home here with her family and salon family. She’s always been creative and passionate about all things beauty, from hair, nails and makeup to skincare.

Outside of the salon, Mari loves traveling with her family, cooking, baking, and making fun treats for parties and special occasions.
